WATER PUMP LIMITED WARRANTY

PRO VALUE water pumps are warranted to be manufactured free of defects in materials and workmanship.  This warranty is good for a period of one year from the date of sale, and is non-transferable.  The warranty is redeemable by the original purchaser only.  The decision for repair or replacement is the sole responsibility of PRO VALUE.

The warranty is void for items disassembled or tampered with.  The warranty is also void if the vehicle has been modified from the original manufacturer design, or has been used for racing purposes.   This warranty does not cover any failure due to faulty or improper installation, accidental damage, abusive use, neglect, or normal wear and tear.

The liability of PRO VALUE shall not exceed the original purchase price.  PRO VALUE shall not be held responsible for consequential damages, personal injury, or property damage.  This statement is the exclusive expression of warranty by PRO VALUE, and is in lieu of any and all other warranties, whether expressed or implied.  No modifications of this warranty are authorized, nor are promises, terms, conditions, or warranties other than those contained herein.  PRO VALUE reserves the right to make changes, modifications, or improvements in the part without incurring any obligation to similarly alter, modify, or improve products previously procured.

GENERAL TERMS:

  1. Purchaser must present original sales receipt before warranty will be authorized.

  2. Purchaser must first call PRO VALUE customer service for authorization to return defective item(s).

  3. All parts must be returned.

Failure to follow installation instructions will void this Warranty.  Purchaser must follow approved installation processes for this warranty to be in effect:

  1. Clean the entire cooling system, including the engine cavity and gasket surface.  Flush the system until the fluid drained is clear.

  2. Carefully position new gaskets (where applicable) when mounting the pump.

  3. Tighten the pump bolts properly, checking tightness using a torque wrench.  Tighten the bolts in a criss-cross pattern.

  4. DO NOT STRIKE THE SHAFT, either through hitting or dropping the pump on a hard surface.

  5. Turn the pump by hand after mounting the pump, but before installing the belts.

  6. Inspect and/or replace the thermostat or radiator clamps if they are sticking or leaking.

  7. Inspect and replace any hoses, belts, or clamps that are worn or otherwise defective.

  8. Replace coolant with fresh approved fluid, properly diluted if required.

  9. Inspect and replace any fan with cracks, bends, loose rivets, etc.  NEVER try to straighten a bent fan, as this provides risk of damage, injury, or death.

  10. Replace any fan clutch, tensioner, or pulley that appears damaged, imbalanced, or out of alignment.

  11. Once everything is in place, and checked for the above and any other installation requirements, start the engine and run it to normal temperatures.  Check the pump for smooth operation and the coolant system for proper fill levels.

  12. Turn off the engine and check for leaks, exercising care not to be burned.
